Early in the morning I wake up very fresh after having a deep sleep for nearly eight hours. Our hotel is surrounded by big trees and the birds have already started chirping. Sitting on open verandah and sipping my morning tea, I feel as if I am in heaven. It feels so different from Bombay .Everything looks very relaxed. I am glad that Osho has left Bombay.
By 9:00am I get ready and take a rickshaw to visit Osho. Ma Laxmi greets me and takes me around in the house and garden, It feels like a perfect place for Osho. Now He can walk in His own garden and sit on the lawn where no one will disturb him.
In the afternoon I come again to meet Osho. He is sitting with His eyes closed on an easy chair in the garden. I walk towards Him and sit silently on the lawn to His left side. It is very quiet except the sound of birds chirping in the trees. Suddenly, there is a loud noise of a train very close by.
I feel disturbed but as the noise of the train vanishes, the silence deepens even more. After a while, Osho opens His eyes and smiles at me. He asks me, “When are you going back to Bombay?” I tell Him, “Osho, I don’t want to go back to Bombay. I want to stay in Poona.” He asks me if I have any problem there. My reply is negative. Then He talks to me in detail, explaining that He is not in favor of renouncing. I should continue my job, stay at my home and come to Poona whenever possible.
Seeing my reluctance to go back, He says, “You have to work for me in Bombay and when the right time comes I will call you.” I start crying and look at Him. He chuckles and says, “You look more beautiful in tears.” With tears in my eyes I laugh and He places His hand on my head and says, “That’s good.” I touch his feet and leave with my heart crying in despair.
